About TradeWinds Country Cottages
The friendly face that will greet you on arrival at the airport.
Robyn has lived most of her life on Norfolk and is still as passionate about this special little island as she was when her family first move here some 56 years ago. Other than a few years away to further her education and travel the world, Norfolk is where her roots are firmly planted.
Life has always been varied & busy from helping and running the last commercial dairy farm, raising pigs, sheep, cattle, horses, and a family. All tied in with establishing a Sewing business in the 80’s & being the island’s Sole Radiographer for the past 38 years. The idea of incorporating quality accommodation on the farm became a reality in 1999 when TradeWinds Country Cottages was built by renovating the old existing Homestead (which was Robyn’s parents home), and building 4 new cottages. The family farm is now just for raising beef, and is situated in full view from TradeWinds cottages.
Robyn’s strong love of nature and the earth can be experienced when you wander the gardens surrounding the property. She tends to all the gardens where sub-tropical plants, bearing fruit trees and tall palms, lovingly flourish.
So with this local knowledge and experience on site, you can be assured of real country comfort and hospitality.
